A Clear Path By Heather Skoll ~ June, 2008
It is challengingTo forge ahead When your vision is not clear. It is challenging To decide When the choices have not presented themselves. It is challenging To expand When you need time to contract and compose. It is challenging To rest When you have to make a decision. It is more easeful When you take time to pause And begin to envision It is more easeful When the choices come forward more clearly And the decisions become easier. It is more easeful Once the decision is made And your path begins to present Its steps before you. Growing Pains By Heather Skoll ~ May 2007
As we grow and expand our knowledgeWe open to new worlds that are infinite Our bodies flourish Our spirits are happy We feel a sense of peace within. Just like a tree That begins from just a seed With the potential to grow and blossom And can adapt to all kinds of conditions Of course when the conditions are just right The tree flourishes too. However, growth is not without pain We often have to push against resistance To discover just how strong we really are. We experience pain when we feel broken in some way And healing hurts too. Like the tree We still grow our branches even if we have to find Another way. We have an innate sense of not only survival But overcoming, improving, learning and growing. We can strive for the best life possible We can believe that we are worth it Because when we grow in to our stunning and extraordinary selves The entire world benefits. Thawing Out By Heather Skoll
Outside the weather is getting colderThe ground is snow covered The wind is blowing We need to wear a jacket, hat and gloves. Inside, what is the weather like within you Are you cold, and covered up And frozen shut?? What a paradox If we can stay warm in our centre While the temperature drops below zero outdoors. Better yet, If we have been emotionally shut down And can melt our frosty spirits Though the winter looms outside. There is no better time Than NOW To let go And allow the thawing out to begin Spring can always be just around the corner In our hearts. Change By Heather Skoll
